Naruto Manga Continues?

Naruto manga continues after several years of its ending in 2014. It was then named Naruto: Shadow rising. The official news would be announced within a month or two in one special event. I don't really mentioned the exact name of the event nor the date of its official release since to be honest, I don't really care that much anymore although I used to a die hard fan of this manga.

I was a bit surprised when I learned about the news but I wasn't excited about finding out more about it as there are several reasons why. I will mention some of it here as my personal opinion. Please keep in mind, this is highlighting my personal opinion and not representing anyone else but me.

The first reason is, I disappointed with the last ending of this manga. I thought it would ended in a 'neutral' and vague way without any vision for the future, especially about the pairing, who ended up with who, since it was too far ahead from Naruto's age in the last arc of the story.  But instead, Kishimoto chose to reveal it all the way and it broke my heart. If only he left it as it was without it, perhaps most fans would be happier and satisfied with its hanging ending and there are rooms for guessing and predicting even for the mangaka, continuing the story next time. I like most of Naruto characters as it is so memorable and iconic, including the girls. I chose NaruSaku since I believe closer friendship and spending time also knowing each other better is the ground foundation for better and long lasting relationship. They had it and Sasuke nearly killed Sakura. So, it was so unbelievable to see that a girl like her still ended up with a red-flag guy like him. As for Hinata, yes, she liked Naruto since the beginning but they didn't spend much time together, nor knowing each other too well since the beginning. And her sacrifice act for him is plausible but not a very strong reason to make her the one with him because he grow together and had more adventures with Sakura.

The 2nd reason is none other than Boruto. After I got disappointed with the ending, this continuation with the children is just like rubbing a salt on a wound. Especially since Boruto is far from inspiring character as his father. I've never bothered to even want to know what was all about in the story and many fans share the same thinking about it. The art itself is far from the original since it was done by Kishi's former assistant and unfortunately it happened under his supervision. Kishi had tried to come up with new series but it failed to gain interest from the readers as his former masterpiece manga. Perhaps after several years of thinking he either want to make it right for the story or he just can't come up with something new which can overcome the successful Naruto story.

The next one is probably the last opinion that I would write for now. I think it is a bit late to come back and the hype perhaps will not be as huge as before. I know I wouldn't be that someone who got so excited to wait. I might want to know but not that eager to follow as before since the damage in the story is already done. Unless, magically, Kishi rewrites the whole story right after the last chapter of shippuuden where it ended as if all are under a genjutsu or like another universe or something and consider Boruto and the former ending were not exist. Yes, I know it's the mangaka's right to do however he like with the story because I know I'm just a former hardcore fan and this is my two cents.
