KIMETSU NO YAIBA or DEMON SLAYER Anime & Manga Review

I started watching this anime about 2years ago. It was unintentional after I watched Jujutsu Kaisen anime as recommended by my online friend. It caught my attention right from the start and I ended up watching the whole season also the movie that time. Some people said the story is not so special based on the manga but the anime has elevated the series to another level by making it more than just alive in motion. I read the manga and watch the anime and personally I like both of it. Of course, anime will make it more interesting in term of entertainment in an easy way compare to appreciating the drawing and details in the manga. However, it was not as an exaggerated as their claimed to be. it was enough to convey the message and what's inside the story in the manga itself.

I have to admit the anime studio who make the anime is really good in translating the plot into animation including the emotion of the characters. I also admire the Mangaka's effort in creating characters, background stories until we can not hate even the bad guys unless it was the main psycho villain and some of his men. Overall, I would give 8.5 out of 10 for this.
This is my fan art drawing of the main characters, Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko.

Demon Slayer: Kibutsuji Muzan x Tsugikuni Yoriichi - An example of human's utmost good side and bad side

Now let's discuss about Kibutsuji muzan and tsugikuni yoriichi.  They are the 2 strongest but opposing characters in the Demon Slayer/Kimetsu no Yaiba story.

Kibutsuji Muzan is the main antagonist who represents human nature at its worst which he is a selfish, narcissistic demon who has the principle of living only for himself without caring about how many parties suffer and are harmed by him.  His obsession is the craziest side of humans with all their greed for eternal life, but being young, very strong, able to do whatever they want and being rich.  In fact, he doesn't hesitate to kill anyone who gets in his way.  Even though he still has a fatal weakness that continues to haunt him even though he has lived for more than 1000 years, a weakness that makes whatever he achieves feel meaningless if it disappears without a trace, including himself.  He was a scary figure and hated by everyone.

Meanwhile, Tsugikuni Yoriichi is 180 degrees opposite to Muzan.  He comes from a prominent family but has great empathy and was willing to give in for his brother, abandoning all ambitions to occupy an important position even though he was born a genius and tragically he also has to lose everyone he loves.  Despite all that, he did not change but remained a selfless person, always helping those around him until the end of his life. He'd never prioritized wealth, power, strength but only wanted to live in peace.  Even though being a good person is not always rewarded in the end, he didn't change.  Thus making him a legendary and memorable figure.  He was also the only figure who made Muzan felt insecure because he would almost perished if he didn't escape quickly like a true coward.

So what lesson can we take from here?  Always be a good person no matter what happens because karma never makes a mistake and this world is not eternal and life has an end.  Don't follow your desires which will lead you to negative things.

Detective Conan/ Case closed: A Manga that had spanned over 30 years!

I've watched this anime for the first time on local television and it was great. The theme, the story and criminal cases were intriguing. It goes both ways with the main plot and the stand-alone cases.

There are a lot of info for this manga/anime which already published and aired for 30 years this year. There is no sign of stopping anytime soon though. Therefore for those who wait whether the main character will be able to move on with his life or stay the same is still unknown until when.

Good luck for those who still follow it.

About NaruSaku and Naruto continuation

Hmm, I'm amazed that after all these years, some people are still checking out my blog just to read my old narusaku doujinshis. I'm grateful and thankful for everyone who did read it. :)

Naruto was once my favorite manga and I was so into it especially narusaku until the faithful day of the unwanted ending in my taste. I know it was the author's right to do whatever he wanted with it, but as a once hardcore fan, I couldn't accept it and prefer to just let it go. The story was great, the characters, the plot and everything except the ending. I admire the art too. This was my old pencil drawing that I recolored digitally a few years ago. And about the continuation from the story about naruto and his friends' children, I chose not to read or care because it is simply done for me. I drew some more narusaku fan arts for fellow fan service which I might upload it here later or when I have the right time.

By the way today is my birthday and instead of celebrating it, I chose to post 2 articles here :D.

A thought after Shingeki no Kyojin ( Attack on Titan) manga ended

Well, it has been quite a long time since I wrote in this blog of mine due to many things in life that needed to be taken care of. This drawing was the latest drawing after the AOT manga ended and the final season of the anime aired on TV.

There were many things got into my mind after that. I have to say I might expect too much for its climax but in the end it wasn't that 'grande' as I thought. The solution from the series was simpler and shorter. Anyway, it is the author's privilege to end it as he wanted and I got nothing more to say. One thing for sure, this was one good manga with some inspiring values after all and to be honest, for me personally, the anime is a lot easier to understand than the manga.

HORIMIYA (Manga VS Anime VS Live Action Drama 2020)

About the MANGA: I have read this manga like years ago but then I stopped half way because I can't wait  which then forgot along the way to follow the chapters since I got too busy with life and work.

It was a good heart warming and deep manga somehow with so many different characters inside which screamed 'Don't judge a book by its cover because everyone has their own reasons.'

I plan to continue reading the rest of the chapters later on.

Then, we will move on to the 13 episodes of its ANIME.Well, I have to say that it was good but too darn short. I wish it would be as detail as the manga but then again it didn't. It was good but lack of some details that explain more about some characters, some details in the overall story between Hori and Miyamura. It felt rushed towards the final episode.

As for the 10 episodes of LIVE ACTION DRAMA, I was entertained but not overwhelmingly impressed especially by the actor who played Miyamura. The story, the female lead who plays Hori and other was OK but he who plays Miyamura is kind of ruined it a bit with his stiff eyes expression and awkward smile. While the actress who played Hori gave her best effort for it, he instead didn't. At least that's how I felt when I saw them. Again, so many things were too short to the point if someone who didn't read the manga would be a bit confuse for the characters.

I would give the manga 8.5, anime 8 and drama 7.5 for me.

A thought after reading Attack on titan chapter 138

Well, this came to me on an instant after reading the surprising and full of twist Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin latest chapter. I was gonna draw Mikasa looking through a peaceful green field of hope as she was the only obvious survivor from all of chaos but then I changed my mind half way. I do hope levi, annie - armin survived as well though.

The drawing was a mere speed-paint drawing I did on a whim.

Attack on Titan Final Season Anime and Final Chapters Manga (2021)

Attack on Titan or Shingeki no Kyojin is the only on going Japanese manga I follow at the moment. Actually my first impression about this manga was not good due to its horrible live action adaptation.

However, everything changed after I watched the 2 seasons of its anime and also the manga. Although to be honest, the anime is way easier to follow. It was a good storytelling, a good description of good and evil also how harsh life can be for anyone. The biggest plot twist would be the main character became the main villain.

This is frankly more than just a shonen manga but more adult - gore - dark manga with blood spilled, many deaths and such. This is something new for me to read and see. The author really did a great job in mixing the plot and creating unforgettable characters.

I might add more review after at least for the manga come to an end. Here is my fan art speedpaint drawing of the 2 main characters that I like, the ackermans, Mikasa and Levi.

Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin Chapter 134

I kinda had this urge to draw him after I read the latest chapter of the manga because it was awesome and at the same time, I had this awful mood after somebody just ripped my work off.

This is the first time I've seen in a manga with the main protagonist turned into the biggest 'villain' in the history. Eren is a good depiction of what human is capable of. From good to evil after some horrible moments in his life but he took it on others to feel what he feel in a gruesome way.

I can't wait for the next chapter to come because the manga itself is being said to be soon to come to an end.

Itachi Uchiha 2020 recolored version

I was extremely bored a couple of weeks ago and decide to recolor this old sketch of Itachi. Somehow, my mood was better afterwards. He was always misunderstood but he did what he did for what he thought was the right thing.
