Nisekoi (False Love) : Between Manga, Anime and Live Action Movie

At first, I saw the glimpse of this manga when I was so into Naruto and Bleach manga back then. I recognize the title and had not decided to read it.

Until last year when I finally read it after a long time. It was similar like any other harem story with one boy and many girls and some part of it refer to shoujo type of love story with slapstick comedy in between.

The story depicted mainly on a love triangle between one naive boy and an heir to a Yakuza family - Raku Ichijou, a tsundere girl half American and a gangster heir - Kirisaki Chitoge and one other kind-hearted shy girl who are meant to inherit her family bakery shop and Raku's first love - Kosaki Onodera, which were connected by a key to the past, childhood promise and gangster families.

1. Manga
It consists of 229 long chapters from the beginning until the end. It was described in detail in every part of the character and story background towards the future they finally choose. However, there were some parts that became a bit draggy, especially the part where the story tells about the side characters. Overall it was perfect for 8.5/10 for me.

2. Anime
It was only up until 2 seasons and several OVAs. I watched the 2 seasons but I skipped the OVAs. The first season was awesome and true to the manga and as for the 2nd season, it was less to my liking with slower pace to follow. I was hoping for the final season to wrap up the whole story. It  would've been great to see alive for the final chapters in  anime motions. Season 1 is 9/10 but 2nd season is 7/10.

3. Live Action Movie
By the end of last year, the live action version was aired in Japan. Raku is played by Kento Nakajima, a boyband member who recently plays many live action movies. Ayami Nakajo as Chitoge. She was famous for her modelling career and her British descent. However, her looks is much more appealing with black hair rather than the blonde hair. The rest of the casts, well, I didn't really pay attention to their real names. In brief, the movie itself tried to live up the manga as much as they can, however it will not be enough due to many parts which were missing in process and to be honest, lack of chemistry between the lead characters. well if I have to say it was 6.5-7/10.
